Public Relations Specialist

Public Relations Responsibilities:
Write content for news releases, web, social media, and client communications
Pitch news stories to media and news publications
Coordinate interviews and required deliverables for media relations efforts
Develop news story ideas, pitch, and pursue editorial placements

Qualifications & Skills:
One to three years’ experience in a field related to social media, public relations, marketing or media
Agency experience? We love it!
Excellent skills in Microsoft applications
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and strong organizational skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to clients, media and other employees of the organization
Ability to multitask and to adhere to deadlines
Advanced writing skills
Understanding of local, regional, and national print and online media
