Quartz seeks an entertainment and media industry reporter obsessed with the past, present, and future of television, film, music, and live entertainment. The successful candidate will understand media and entertainment is both a business and a passion. They’ll be able to read earnings statements, analyze deals, and spot the financial forces behind streaming, but they’ll also have strong feelings about Bridgerton or Taylor Swift’s latest album, and be comfortable ranking the Fast and Furious films by preference. They’ll also understand the shifting nature of the industry, and be able to write about companies including Spotify, Disney, Twitch, and Condè Nast.
