A leading UK publisher and content provider for and about the rail industry is looking for an experienced Industry Editor to lead the generation and curation of industry/market features, insight/analysis and interviews primarily for a B2B industry audience. This role also supports news and day-to-day editorial activity across all platforms including newsletters and events.
The Industry Editor works closely with the Editor and News Editor, in shaping the publication’s content output, and will work closely with the Commercial and Events teams to enable the creation of content-led events and supplements.
Some of the key responsibilities will include:
Working with the Features Editor, News Editor and Editor to plan content for the publication
Writing features, news insights and analysis content for all platforms (print and digital) to a high standard
Commission content and managing and overseeing the creation of of the publication’s Journal content and commission articles
Attend internal and external events and meetings to gather news, build contacts and and increase the team’s understanding of the rail sector and its needs
Use industry insight to contribute to the 'News List’ of current stories on the radar
Proofread magazine content
We are looking for an individual with a sound understanding of the rail industry and associated markets, with a track record of maximising cross channel content performance. You will have the ability to connect with and influence key figures and organisations, and possess a high level of attention to detail, ideally with an understanding of and interest in the rail industry. You will have proven writing and editing skills.
