Market Analyst/Reporter, Report on Business (Editorial)

As Canada’s leading news source for investors, The Globe and Mail is hiring an additional market analyst or reporter for our Report on Business team, with a focus on serving the sophisticated readers of Globe Investor. The ideal candidate will have worked within the financial industry as a portfolio manager, financial advisor, analyst, or a similar role. Expertise in a particular asset class or industry – such as commodities, currencies, energy or the bond markets – would be welcome. This role involves providing daily analysis, with a deep and nuanced understanding of the markets, that serves self-directed investors and other readers. The successful candidate will be able to screen for investment opportunities using financial data, regulatory filings and other research tools. They should be able to write quickly and clearly on market changes as they occur, while also providing contextual insights and strategic advice, creating valuable and engaging content for a variety of platforms, including newsletters and social media.
