The Concord Monitor, a digitally focused daily newspaper in New Hampshire’s state capital, is looking for an ambitious reporter who understands the critical role of local journalism and who wants to help forge the future of our newsroom. This job entails covering the city of Concord and some surrounding towns and includes a little bit of everything: government reporting, breaking news, crime and features. The successful candidate should have daily writing experience, proficiency with social media, basic photo and video skills and an unflinching desire to get at the stories our readers need. Our reporters are often recognized for their ability to tell meaningful stories that connect data and real people to the issues most affecting our readers and their communities. The ability to dig for new and fresh angles and an appreciation for accountability journalism are central to this role.
