Our newsroom has grown over the past 12 years from fewer than six positions to more than 16, expanding our content on the air and online. Our broadcast signal reaches an audience over water and volcanic mountains comprising some of the most challenging territory in the world for radio waves. Our digital work reaches a global audience. Position:
The 2023 wildfires in Maui transformed the future of the island and the state. This reporter is based in Oahu and travels to Maui occasionally to investigate the allocation and use of government and private funds for recovery. The data reporter tracks funds designated for basic needs such as housing, food and physical and mental health. Stories also focus on the state's economic well-being and the role of tourism in the region.
Salary and Benefits:
$50,000-$55,000
