Reporter

Wisconsin Health News is seeking a reporter for its growing publication focused on the intersection of healthcare policy, politics and business. The ideal candidate will be able to break down complex policies into concise, snappy copy for an audience of healthcare executives, government leaders, lawmakers, other journalists and more who consider the publication an indispensable part of their day. They should be as comfortable scouring the halls of the state Capitol as they are sifting through in-depth reports.  Knowledge of healthcare policy is a plus, but not required. Experience reporting on other industries, politics and business is helpful - as is experience building sources to dig up scoops and uncover the real story. In addition to reporting for a daily email newsletter, reporters will be asked to help out with in-person and virtual events on timely health policy topics and moderate events.
