The Daily Post in Palo Alto, California, seeks a reporter for the night shift (1 p.m.-10 p.m.) who can cover a wide range of beats and juggle multiple stories. We're looking for an energetic and resourceful reporter with a nose for news. Somebody who can develop sources, utilize digital databases and doesn't give up when an official says "no comment." We expect well written stories that are accurate, concise and meaningful to readers. Residency in the Bay Area is required. This is not a job that can be done remotely. We expect our reporter to be on the streets, available for breaking news. Please email a cover letter, resume and five of your best stories to Editor Dave Price at email@example.com. Put "reporter" in the subject line.
