AT WILL MEDIA is seeking a reporter / writer to identify original non-fiction stories to be created into a podcast or longform journalism piece. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for story, ability to identify and create rapport with key sources, and a proven track record of creating narrative story arcs. Strong research skills are a must.
Compensation:
25 hrs at $1,000 / week (for 6 weeks)
Responsibilities & Duties:
Mine existing intellectual property (articles, books, essays, etc.) for viable non-fiction ideas and distill into clear and concise summaries
Pitch ideas to AT WILL MEDIA’s Development Team
As ideas are approved, conduct additional research and generate a one-sheet with story elements including: logline, story synopsis, potential sources/characters
Qualifications & Skills:
B.A. or B.S. degree, preferably in English, Journalism, Film Production, Screenwriting, Communications, or a background in journalism or writing
3 years minimum reporting experience
Excellent research and writing skills
