Arabic Service Editor, Reuters

Reuters is seeking an experienced, dynamic, creative Editor with strong managerial skills to steer the Arabic news service through transformation and change, overseeing a team of seasoned and talented sub-editors, reporters and translators, based in Cairo. This role will set the strategy and overall direction of Reuters Arabic news coverage and follow up on implementation. He/she will build on the success of the service to ensure the file is of the highest standard in terms of content, accuracy, speed and balance. The candidate will need to oversee various Arabic service projects, ensure mobility, diversity and flexibility in prioritizing coverage as well as providing mentoring, training and coaching to young talent to enhance the diverse editorial team we need to remain a leading news service for our Middle East clients.
