Reuters is seeking candidates who can speak fluent English and Spanish to join its real-time news operation in Gdansk, Poland OR Barcelona, Spain. The reporter will work in fast-paced, international environment, monitor approved sources, notify LatAm and Iberia hubs on major companies’ news and general news and coordinate with them on writing headlines and short stories.

About the Role
In this opportunity as a Breaking News Correspondent, you will:
Monitor approved sources to grasp the major news on LatAm
Cooperate with LatAm and Iberia hubs on coverage
Write headlines and news summaries or short stories accurately, quickly and with high standards of credibility, in accordance with Reuters principles and operating standards
About You
You’re a fit for the role of a Breaking News Correspondent if your background includes:
Fluency in English and Spanish
Strong translation skills
Strong news judgment
Ability to write with speed, clarity, accuracy and freedom from bias
A sound command of grammar, spelling, punctuation
Comfort with handling financial data and facts accurately and quickly
Knowledge of corporate activity, stock markets and financial vocabulary, or an ability to gain such knowledge quickly
An ability to work under time pressure
Willingness to undertake shifts
