Reuters is looking for a dynamic journalist for the role of Headline News Reporter for the Middle East Speed team in Bangalore. The successful candidate will contribute to the headline alerting and reporting responsibilities across corporate, markets, and economic news for a range of Middle Eastern countries.
The role demands strong written and verbal communication skills in English as well as modern Arabic. S/he should be proficient in reading financial data and information and translating that from Arabic to English. S/he will be expected to ensure that the translated version clearly and accurately represents the original content in Arabic.
Requirements/Qualifications
Must possess excellent command of written and spoken Modern Standard Arabic (MSA)
Strong command of English language and good communication skills
Past experience in translating financial data/information is preferred
Fair ability to digest and interpret financial data and information
Ability to work independently and within a team
Understanding of Arabic dialects for communication with a broad Arab audience is preferred
The team will work from Sunday to Friday. Team members will get 2 days off in a week (Friday and Saturday or Saturday and Sunday) on a rotational basis.
