The Rio Rancho Observer, a digital first weekly in the fast-growing city of Rio Rancho is looking for a digital savvy sports editor. We have plenty of high school sports teams to cover plus some semi-professional ones, too. We are going digital first and have found a lot of success in our effort. It includes video, audio and needs a daily mentality. Rio Rancho is a welcoming mix of rural and urban, about 15 minutes from Albuquerque, home to the Rio Rancho Events Center where James Taylor just performed, indoor football and lots of outdoor activities. Intel is here and in the midst of a 700-employee expansion and it has among the highest ranked schools in the state. Crime is low and people are friendly.
