Rogue Valley Times, a news organization committed to "digital first, then print" coverage of Medford, Oregon and the surrounding area, is seeking a sports reporter. Medford - population 87,000 - is a fast growing city in southern Oregon, serving as a regional shopping and medical center on the I-5 corridor. The area boasts exceptional entertainment, wineries and outdoor activities. The position provides print and online coverage of high school and community sports. We're looking for a creative writer to produce compelling sports features and to write game stories quickly on deadline.

While the paper is printed three times per week, content is published daily online, to meet the constant demand for local, credible news. Reporting experience, a bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field, or a combination of experience and education is required. Good driving record and reliable transportation required. This is a 37.5-hour per week position, generally working Monday through Friday.
