What are we looking for in our Part-time News Editor?
Our client, a Fortune 5 health insurance provider, is seeking a talented News Editor to join their team! The role is part-time and remote, candidates must reside in the US.
Part time, 20 hours a week. The need is for support our weekly sales cycle with focused hours Friday afternoons (3 to 5 hours), Mondays (8 hours) and Tuesdays (7 to 8 hours). Daytime business hours, Central or Eastern time.
This position is to support news editing and delivery of Employer & Individual news for internal Sales and Account Management employees. Primarily training and working with a Senior News Editor that is part of a 3-person Digital Content Operations team. The team rolls up to the corporate Marketing and Sales Enablement department.
This position ensures clear messages on important product, regulatory, system and process updates are delivered and available for Sales and Account Management to read and use to answer customer questions and keep them informed of changes that affect their jobs.
Experience and attributes of the right candidate include:
Professional copy editing/proofreading experience
AP Stylebook proficient
Experience with posting/updating in website content management systems (Adobe Experience Manager, WordPress, SharePoints etc.) to company quality standards
Microsoft Office program proficiency, especially Word and Outlook
General admin/coordination tasks related to news content
Must have sense of urgency and used to working under strict deadlines
Group health insurance company work experience preferred
Compensation: $35-45/hr, depending on experience
