What are we looking for in our RFP Writer?

Russell Tobin has an exciting opportunity to work at a world-leading investment firm looking for a RFP Writer, the role presents an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to different areas of the business and gain a wealth of knowledge.

The successful candidate will be a member of a specialist team responsible for writing Requests for Information (RFI's), providing Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQ's) upon request and coordinating the completion of new business Requests for Proposal (RFP's) and have experience of RFI.

12 months contract with further possible extension
Rate: £500 per day PAYE + 33 days holiday pay on pro-rata basis
Location: London (EC2N) Hybrid - 4 days in London office - 1 day WFH

What We Are Looking For -

We are looking for the right candidate to have RFP Database Management experience and will be mainly focused on updating the RFP Database with new funds/content and having existing content signed off by the various SMEs
Coordinate the completion of new business RFPs, existing business DDQs, and ad hoc RFIs in a professional, accurate, and timely manner
Take full ownership of allocated regular and one-off client requests, covering various asset classes, including equity, fixed income, multi-asset and alternatives, and complete them accurately and within the client deadline
Work with EMEA domiciled active and passive fund ranges but also on solution-based segregated mandates
Own any stakeholder or client queries and drive them through to resolution, ensuring queries are handled with due care and attention and responded to appropriately, within agreed timeframes
Act as a point of contact for sales and client service teams who have requested RFPs, RFI’s and DDQ’s for their clients
Collaborate closely with other RFP teams across the business to ensure consistent and high-quality responses and that all client deadlines are met
Ensure continuous improvement of team processes and drive innovative use of resources.
Take responsibility for contributing to the maintenance and audit of the core resources.
Contribute to continual population and development of the proposals database, refreshing and improving answers on an ongoing basis.

Skills -

Experience in processing and writing RFP and/or DDQ questionnaires within an investment management environment (experience in the retail business is an advantage)
Genuine interest in financial services and client services and is well regarded as a lead subject matter expert in working with clients in a service environment
Self-starting and able to work autonomously due to proven industry experience
Exhibits a client-focused attitude andise dedicated to offering the highest level of client service
Proactive team-player who understands that a highly organized team can drive better performance
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues at all levels
Superior attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks to tight deadlines
Strong analytical, organizational and planning skills
Pursues better ways to do things: drives continuous improvement in processes or solutions
Demonstrates flexibility and resourcefulness when faced with business challenges or obstacles
Deals productively with failure and leverages what is learned to generate new innovative solutions
Commitment to continuous learning, especially if the candidate does not have an asset management background

EDUCATION -

Economics BA/MA degree
Fluent in English, written and verbal (additional language is an advantage)
Proficiency in MS Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel,PowerPoint)
IMC, IAQ or CIMA qualification preferred
Other academic and professional qualifications an advantage
