The Associate Editor/Editor, Metallurgical Coal & Coke, will be responsible for reporting on the markets for the two key steelmaking ingredients as part of a larger team covering ferrous and nonferrous markets. The market reporter will gather and test price information and obtain an understanding of supply-demand fundamentals from speaking with primary market participants daily. They will also conduct price assessments based on established methodology, contribute to its development, and will write market commentaries, news and in-depth analysis pieces. Based in Singapore, the successful candidate will work most closely with team members there and in India and the UK as part of a global team.

Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for reporting on the Asian metallurgical coal and coke markets daily, generate price assessments, commentaries and news stories, working as part of a team. The person will also actively engage with market participants across the region on methodology and market developments.
The candidate will translate information gathered from the market into written content, and through presentations and other digital media. They will establish and maintain source relationships and take ownership of price reporting and methodology development for their markets, flagging changes to price trends and opportunities internally.
