Sr. Producer

Scripps News is a hiring a Sr. Producer. This person will be responsible for managing all pre-production and daily production of assigned show(s).

Sunday - Thursday, Nightside

What You'll Do

Oversee all scheduling of segments with producers;
Manage show boards;
Work with Co-Exec Producer to stack and plan daily shows;
Communicate creative and timing needs to producers;
Oversee the scheduling of all shoots, editing and airing of pieces;
Support the Co-Exec Producer in oversight of all studio/stand-up VizRT elements as they relate to each segment;
Oversee and produce elements of sweeps programming and weekend episodes;
Work with other Senior Producers to manage content flow and build each weekend show

Day-of-show responsibilities:

Pitch and produce top of the show elements for daily broadcast;-managing the in-studio/VizRT aspects of the show as it relates to talent stand-ups and segments;
Oversee all morning voice-over and talent needs;
Oversee hair & makeup schedules and ensuring production is on-time;
Fact-checking and oversight of final product before the feed;
Building and maintaining relationships with entertainment publicists to keep the show current with local celebrity press tours;
Work with the other Senior Producers to manage content flow;

What You'll Need

Bachelor degree preferred
8+ years experience with news show show
