Pay Range: $40/hr - $45/hr.

Job Responsibilities:
Migrate docs from the Power BI GitHub repo to the Fabric repo with editorial work and removing duplicate content.
Organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminology
Maintain records and files of work and revisions
Confer with client to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publication
Scope of services include:
Test and update the QuickStart and tutorial docs with the UI changes, terminology updates, broken links, getting rid of excessive screens etc.
Improve content freshness by addressing customer feedback, GitHub issues.
Update Analysis services content with Data analysis experience (DAX) examples, improving existing examples, verifying syntax etc.
Collaborate with Technical writers to organize the content into the right buckets.
Editorial work to bring grammar and spelling up to minimum requirements.
Content quality updates and updates to meet the doc publishing pipeline requirements.
Responds to editorial and reviewer feedback.
Attend standup meetings with Microsoft project team to plan, scope, and discuss queries, etc.
Accept work items from Program Managers in the business with drafted updates to documentation.
Converts specific feedback from writers and Program Managers into documentation.
Candidate Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science or English, journalism, communications
2-4 years' experience required
Experience in in creating documentation for a technical audience
Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
Ability to read some programming code
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Experience working with markdown, git, and GitHub as a content management system
Experience with Power BI, Analysis Services, and DAX
