Mobile Marketing is looking for an experienced, confident senior digital reporter for Mobile Marketing Magazine.
This hybrid role will be largely remote, with the opportunity to work from our Bristol office as desired. This position will suit someone with a journalism degree or other professionally accredited journalism qualification, with two to five years of reporting experience, ideally writing on marketing and/or technology and eager to put their stamp on a well-established industry news site. Knowledge of SEO, Semrush and Google Analytics is essential.
Who is Mobile Marketing? Founded in 2005, two years before the launch of the iPhone, Mobile Marketing is a respected trade publication for the global mobile marketing industry. The website has approximately 40k unique visitors each month and produces around 15 events annually, including the Effective Mobile Marketing Awards (now in their 12th year). Mobile Marketing is a subsidiary of Masterclassing Ltd.
What will you do? As a senior digital reporter, you will be expected to contribute news and feature content to mobilemarketingmagazine.com. You will possess the ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently, and to proactively support colleagues.
For both long and short-form content, you will write and edit well, distilling complex stories into clear and intelligible copy, including optimising headlines for SEO. The role also involves conducting video interviews and podcasts with leading industry figures.
While some of our news content is sourced from press releases, we are looking for someone who can find their own exclusive content, by reaching out to their network of contacts and attending industry events, both in the UK and abroad.
The role also involves managing the Effective Mobile Marketing Awards, our annual Awards Program. This involves deciding on the awards categories, enlisting judges, securing entries, and managing the judging process through to the choosing of the winners. Almost all of this is done online.
In addition to your reporting duties, you will also host some of our Future of Mobile and Masterclassing events in the UK and abroad. For this role, you will need to be well organized, confident, capable and professional whilst presenting to an audience of around 30 people.
Are you ready to join our team? Are you highly motivated, keen to hit the ground running, proactive, professional, and looking to take your next step in journalism? Learn more about us at www.mobilemarketingmagazine.com and submit your cover letter and CV today.
