Senior Digital Writer

As Senior Digital Writer, you will be working closely with the SEO, PR and product teams to add current data, research and topical commentary to the Compare The Market website landing pages. Initially, you will innovate in this area, identifying opportunities to add topical commentary and up-to-date metrics, and deciding on any data trends to include, as well as the frequency of future updates. After that you will stay on top of news and industry trends, updating all appropriate content in real-time as changes happen, working with all stakeholders to ensure the website is responding to conditions as they emerge and change.

Add current data and research to the Compare The Market website landing pages across any appropriate product vertical.
Develop a program of topical commentary for sections of the website such as the home loans and energy verticals, where commentary on market changes will be of value to users.
Stay on top of news and industry trends to enable real-time updates of content.
Liaise with product teams and other stakeholders to ensure topical commentary is of maximum value to users
Update content and add new pages to the website
Produce high quality, engaging copy that’s SEO optimised to meet SEO briefs

About you:

All round amazing human
Knowledge of best-practice search engine optimisation and UX techniques for content
3+ year(s) of experience in an SEO-content role
Experience managing stakeholders in the content production process
High attention to detail
Ability to innovate a new initiative, making key foundational decisions and being able to show how those decisions were arrived at
Exceptional organisation and time management skills
Experience following news and industry updates and writing reactively to them
Prior experience writing about home loans, energy and general insurance is a distinct advantage
Experience with Wordpress CMS (beneficial, not essential)
