Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking remote Part-time Variable Senior Environmental Writers/Editors to join our Environmental Planning Group. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around the technical formatting and editing of environmental documents.

Substantive editing of complex, multi-author, or high-profile documents.
Management of complex, multi-author, multi-document projects.
Interviews authors as needed for additional information or clarification.
Develops project or document-specific style guides and editorial standards
Makes authoritative editorial and process decisions and recommendations.
Oversees development and maintenance of office editorial decisions.
Copyedits documents.
Proofreads documents for grammar and punctuation.
Checks tables and figures for editorial accuracy and consistency in document.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree 4+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

10+ years of relevant experience formatting and editing environmental documents.

Additional Information

Non-Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The hourly range for this position is $42 - $58/hour. Please note that this role can be based anywhere in the United States and compensation data will vary in each location.
