We have an exciting opportunity to join this successful team as a Senior Staff Writer.

What you’ll be doing

Advnture is looking for a Senior Staff Writer with a passion for the outdoors and a talent for offering first class buying advice to take on this exciting role.

Reporting to the editor, as Senior Staff Writer you will be responsible for updating and writing informative product and shopping content in the form of buying guides and deals articles . From hiking boots and tents to running shoes, GPS watches and skis, you will have your finger on the pulse when it comes to the very best outdoor equipment and gear.

These buyer’s guides and deals articles are designed to provide essential information to people looking to buy outdoors products, so you should be a first-rate writer with up-to-date digital skills and strong SEO knowledge, as well as the ability to work calmly under pressure, proactively communicate and meet deadlines.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve

A keen interest and knowledge of the outdoors
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience of writing digital content, preferably about products
Ability to deliver content to tight deadlines
Excellent time management skills
Knowledge of SEO and digital traffic
Experience of working with content management systems
Can-do, positive attitude and willingness to turn your hand to news writing when necessary
Interest in winter sports would be a bonus
