Senior Technical Writer

Original notes from the client:

manage team site and dashboards
post stuff on workplace on the team happenings (basically promoting stuff that's happening)
write documentation for test programs and other programs
write application notes for various fixtures etc
Prior Meta/Facebook experience

Additions from their TPM :

-Communicate with engineers to determine requirements for a project and edit/proofread documentation Qualifications

-Experience working with technical documentation and file formats (3D drawings, API documentation, white papers)

Responsibilities:

Develop and edit technical documentation alongside engineers.
Manage page build projects by creating work back schedules and coordinating with stakeholders and team members.
Work with team members and site users to optimize the discoverability of the most relevant content
Help establish best practices for content management and champion the adoption of these practices
Drive internal publishing of content
Create and maintain page templates and internal writing and design guides and standards
Perform basic graphic design and image editing tasks using Illustrator and Photoshop

Requirements:

Strong understanding of PHP and Python, HTML, XML, and CSS
Strong writing skills with the ability to create technical content as needed
Understand the value of graphics and design principles for content strategy
Experience working cross-functionally with a variety of teams to drive projects
Professional, sharp, and great communication skills
Excellent experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive
High attention to detail
Quality and results-focused
Willingness and ability to take initiative and drive tasks through completion
Bachelor’s degree

Nice to have:

Previous Project or Program Management experience
UX familiarity or experience
Copywriting and copy-editing experience
Graphic design experience using Adobe Creative Cloud software
