Seven’s Canberra, Watson newsroom is looking for an Editor to oversee and manage the Canberra Newsroom journalists and operations.

You will:

Provide leadership to all News staff at Seven Regional’s Canberra office to the highest standards of professionalism and personal integrity.
Oversee the administration of the Canberra Newsroom journalists
Ensure the 6:30 bulletin is produced on time and to the highest possible standards regarding content, production and on-air presentation.
Provide day to day leadership and direction to all News staff located in the Canberra hub, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Oversee and manage any other News services, programs and facilities for which the company may from time to time enter into contractual arrangements.
You will also be required to present news updates and some bulletins from time to time

We are seeking someone with:

Strong knowledge of the regional news environment.
Knowledge of television production.
Demonstrated leadership.
Exceptional interpersonal and people management skills.
Demonstrated ability to build collaborative and productive relationships.
Drive, tenacity, and results driven attitude.
Assertiveness and ability to work in high pressure, fast paced environment.
High level problem solving, organisation and time management skills.
High level oral and written communication skills.
