Sports and/or Education Reporter

Community newspaper expanding and in need of freelance reporters. We are looking for a reliable and knowledgeable individual who wants to cover high school sports and/or education in Snohomish County. Prefer to start as contract opportunity and transition to part time/full time position based on performance. Pay is based on experience. Open to hire one or multiple candidates.

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 articles per week
Must live Snohomish County
SEO training (if you do not have any we will train you don't worry!)
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively
Keen sense of grammar.
Passion for sports
Establish and maintain contacts
Able to interview
Able to attend events
Ability to post to Social Media
Possible video reporting
