Sports Editor

The Meridian Star in Meridian, Miss. is seeking a sports editor. The position entails covering multiple sports, including football, basketball, baseball and softball, soccer, tennis, track, golf, and swimming. The editor will coordinate sports coverage in our area and will have access to freelance reporters and photographers. Stories could range from a roundup of weekend scores to a preview of a new season to features on rising athletes. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, invested in the community and a highly competent sports photographer. Pagination skills are a plus. The Star offers a positive and collaborative work atmosphere in an East Central Mississippi region known for its arts and recreation opportunities.
