The Clayton Tribune in the Northeast Georgia mountains in Rabun County has an immediate opening for a full-time sports reporter. The applicant for this weekly newspaper would be required to cover sports at three local school systems and other extracurricular/recreation activities in the county. As part of The Clayton Tribune team, the reporter additionally would be involved in the production of the print edition and the upload of content online. While the schools’ athletics are some of the best in Georgia, Rabun County also offers incredible scenery and outdoor opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a college degree in journalism or related field and also have photography skills. This position is a 40-hour-per-week job that involves night and weekend work.
