Staff Writer

Healio News is seeking an experienced and energetic Staff Writer for a leading medical newspaper and website.

The Staff Writer will be responsible for writing timely, accurate, and relevant content for a physician audience.

Responsibilities include:

daily news coverage on the latest research and trends in hematology and oncology
interviewing and developing relationships with key opinion leaders
traveling to and producing live coverage at major medical meetings

Requirements include:

strong reporting background
impeccable writing skills
must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to multitask and meet tight deadlines
at least 5 years of writing experience (medical writing/editing experience preferred)
degree in Journalism, English, or other related field
a desire to work in a fast-paced news environment

Position requires travel, including some weekends.
