Stars and Stripes, the US military news organization, is seeking a reporter based in Washington, DC to cover Veterans Affairs.

Stars and Stripes, the US Military’s independent news organization, is looking for a reporter to cover issues of special interest to the Veterans community. Subjects of interest include – but are not limited to -- changes in Veterans benefits, heath care issues, education, training programs and challenges facing troops who make the transition to civilian life. We’re looking for someone who knows how to cultivate sources in the Veterans community, who can promote their own brand within the limitations of company policies and journalistic standards.
