Your role: If you are a passionate boxing enthusiast with a knack for creating compelling content, we want to hear from you. As Senior Boxing Reporter at talkSPORT.com, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, engaging, and original written content to a large digital audience.
You will break major boxing news, generate creative ideas around the latest talking points in the sport, conduct exclusive interviews, attend press conferences and cover fights live.
This role will be based in our offices at London Bridge, although you will at times work from home and on location.
Day to day you will:
Write breaking boxing news stories quickly and accurately under pressure
Stay abreast of the latest developments in the boxing world
Generate strong ideas for original content
Spot stories and unique angles that will resonate with our audience
Cover fights live and report on them in creative ways
Set up and conduct exclusive interviews with boxers and key figures in the sport
Liaise with production staff to utilise the best on-air boxing interviews across online
Take notice of trends and incorporate keywords into headlines
What we’re looking for from you:
Proven experience as a sports writer, with a specialisation in boxing
NCTJ qualification or similar
Excellent writing and editing skills and a flair for storytelling
Always up to date with the latest boxing news
Familiar with MMA, particularly the UFC
Immersed in social media and consume sports content daily
Familiarity with SEO best practices to optimise content for search engines
Strong communication skills
Determination to learn and develop
Flexible and willing to work unsociable hours
