The Role
Tatler is looking for a Features Editor to join its busy print and digital team this September. We are looking for a sharp, confident and curious writer who is also a rigorous commissioning editor; someone who - in addition to having impeccable copy-editing skills - is full of ideas, has a wide network of contacts, is willing to work hard and has a good knowledge of the Tatler world and social sphere.
What will you be doing?
Generating ideas for features for both the print and digital sides of the operation
Commissioning print and online articles from freelance and in-house writers, managing them to ensure a smooth copy workflow
Keeping abreast of culture and forthcoming projects that might be relevant to Tatler
Writing for the magazine
Proofreading and editing all pages before they go to press
Building strong relationships with key industry contacts
Working closely with the digital team to plan, write and upload daily online content, as well as social-media content - at all times keeping an eye on the quality of the website’s content, headlines and copy
Who you are:
Passionate about knowing everything that is happening in news, politics, the arts and literary worlds
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Great planning and organisational skills, as well as a disciplined attitude towards enforcing (and keeping to) deadlines
Previous proven experience working on a busy Features desk is essential
Where will you be?
We encourage hybrid working but when you are in the office, this role will be primarily based in our iconic Vogue House building, situated in the heart of Mayfair. This is where our award-winning Editorial and Content teams sit.
