Technical Proposal Writer

We are seeking a highly skilled Proposal Writer to develop persuasive and compliant content for Federal and state government proposals. The successful candidate will have a minimum of six years of experience writing for government proposals, excellent communication skills, and experience developing original content and interviewing subject matter experts. Experience with cybersecurity and IT is a plus, as is proposal management experienceThis is a 1099 position. Multiple positions are available.

Key Responsibilities:

Writing persuasive and compliant proposal content for Federal and state government proposals
Work independently to work on complex writing assignments
Working with subject matter experts to gather information and incorporate technical content into the proposal
Reviewing and editing proposal drafts for grammar, style, and content
Ensuring compliance with RFP requirements and proposal guidelines
Managing the proposal review process and incorporating feedback from the proposal team
Meeting deadlines and working under tight time constraints
Using creativity and strategy to conceptualize sections
Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Minimum of eight years of experience writing persuasive content for Federal and state government proposals that is clear, concise, compliant, and responsive
Excellent verbal, written,an communication skills
Experience developing compliant outlines and quality content (including original content)
Excellent communication skills and a solid understanding of message development
Experience performing research and interviewing subject matter experts to create original content.
Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines
Experience with cybersecurity and IT a plus
Proposal management experience a plus
Must be professional with a customer-service focus
Proposal management experience a PLUS

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in a writing-focused field from an accredited college or university
8+ years of experience writing for Federal and state government proposals
