Technical Writer

Headwall produces hyperspectral imaging components, instruments, software, and fully integrated solutions to address the needs of our customers in the remote sensing, machine vision, and OEM market segments.

We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer to join our team. As a Technical Writer, you will be responsible for creating accurate and comprehensive technical documentation, including both internal work instructions and customer-facing publications. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in technical writing, excellent writing skills, and a strong technical background. If you have a passion for translating complex technical concepts into user-friendly documentation, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to Headwall's success.

Roles & Responsibilities
Produce high-quality documentation that meets industry standards and best practices and is appropriate for the intended audience
Work with Engineering and Technicians to create internal documentation for the manufacture and service of scientific instruments and industrial systems, including work instructions, travelers, and other training materials to ensure consistent execution of tasks
Work with Engineering and Product Management to develop customer-facing documentation, such as product user manuals and quick start guides, to provide clear instructions and support for our products
Collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather information and understand the product line, technical concepts, and processes and to incorporate feedback into the documentation
Organize and present technical information in a user-friendly and accessible manner, tailored to the target audience
Review and edit existing documentation for clarity, consistency, and adherence to style guidelines
Maintain and update the internal Headwall Wiki
Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence
