The role
This is a temporary part time position expected to be 20 hours per week for 6 months.
The Technical Writer will be the cornerstone in connecting data logging, people, and process. They will be responsible for implementing an effective documentation and knowledge transfer strategy, empowering teams with the knowledge needed to navigate the complexities of the migration process and ensuring the sustained, repeatable success of our client’s new data logging environment.
Role responsibilities
Craft living assets (documents, architecture diagrams), outlining our client’s new data logging migration environment, instructions, best practices and any relevant procedures or guidelines
Maintain version control, ensuring it remains up-to-date as the project progresses
Lead the creation and evolution of a Service Design document that will define our client’s new data logging capability and its elements (i.e., service overview, organization and people, etc.)
Disseminate information across our client’s organization, applying creative strategies to promote learning and fuel adoption
Expected Client Outcomes
Improved understanding of the data log migration process
Efficient user adoption of new systems and processes, ensuring future maintainability
Reduced errors and risks associated with data log migration errors
Minimum qualifications

Experience in Cribl or a similar LogStream platform such as Apache Kafka, StreamSets, Splunk, etc
In-depth understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, etc.).
Understanding of security protocols and encryption techniques
Understanding of operating systems commonly used in networking environments (Linux, Windows Server)
Understanding of the principles of infrastructure-as-code and Terraform syntax and configuration
The ability to effectively document network designs, configurations, and procedures
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
The ability to align with Central Standard Time (CST) working hours
Preferred qualifications
Background in DevOps practices, automation, and infrastructure management
