WXIA in Atlanta is looking to add a Consumer Investigative Reporter to their award-winning team. The mission is to help expose problems and find solutions through powerful journalism. Now, they're searching for an exceptional journalist to help continue to produce eye-opening investigations.

Responsibilities:
Proven background in developing, researching, and vetting ideas that lead to accurate and creative stories with impact
Write and produce broadcast versions, long-form, investigative, and character-driven stories.
Understanding of editing and graphics applications such as Adobe Priemer and After Effects
Use creative production techniques such as graphics and new forms of media and technology to enhance stories.
Advance storytelling experienced required.
Contact sources and develop news stories.
Willingness to cover a wide variety of stories.
Attend editorial meetings, participate in discussions and suggest story ideas.
Ensure stories are a featured on digital platforms
Requirements:
BA/BS in journalism, communications or related field
3-5 years of experience preferred
Strong, concise writing
Clear understanding of the principles of journalism
Advanced experience in Adobe Premiere and some experience in After Effects
Knowledge in photojournalism, editing, and content management systems
Social media proficiency, including an active news gathering on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
Demonstrated news judgment, writing, photography experience, and non-linear editing skills.
Must be flexible with schedule, reliable and dependable
