Public Safety / General Assignments Reporter

The Temple Daily Telegram, an award-winning daily newspaper in Central Texas, is looking for a veteran public safety/general assignments reporter to cover a beat that includes cops, fire department, sheriff's office and more. Experience covering courts would be beneficial. The public safety reporter will be on top of breaking news, initiate news features, enterprise stories and weekend features. Ideal candidates will have a degree in journalism with solid clips and good news judgment. Deadline newspaper reporting is a plus.
