Investigative Reporter

The Advocate, Louisiana’s leading news organization and the 2019 Pulitzer winner for local reporting, is doubling the size of our four-member investigative team. As part of this effort, we plan to hire two new reporters. We are looking for a smart, dynamic, enterprising digger and stylish writer, someone with great ideas who loves to collaborate. While we are based in south Louisiana, our goal is to shine the light of accountability across the whole of our state, increasingly a news desert. We aim to root out corruption, inequity and injustice; to help our readers understand why Louisiana lags in so many key indicators; and – perhaps – to effect change. Team players only, please.
