The Associated Press seeks a producer with a history of successful television and online video storytelling to join its team in Los Angeles as a news producer. This video journalist will report from red carpet events, courthouses and junkets as part of AP's entertainment video newsgathering efforts in Los Angeles. In this role, you will produce, write and edit video stories for AP’s broadcast, digital and mobile customers and platforms. This producer will work with colleagues in New York and Los Angeles, as well as AP's U.S. and international regional desks, to ensure AP delivers a competitive and comprehensive entertainment report to its broadcast and online video clients across the globe. This includes assisting in the coverage of major events such as the Oscars, Grammys and Emmys. You must have the ability and willingness to work at night and on weekends, as coverage demands, as AP is a 24/7 operation.
