The Conversation is looking for an experienced editor to commission articles across its science, technology, and business sections. This is a great opportunity to work for a fast-paced online news magazine with a team of fantastic journalists and some of the world’s leading academic experts. Every day, The Conversation publishes articles written by experts from universities across the UK and Europe that explain and analyse the latest news, trends, and research. Our stories are written for a general readership, and we aim to bridge the gap between academics and the public via a newsroom of talented journalists, reaching millions of readers around the world each month. We are looking for someone who is up-to-date with and fascinated by the latest scientific discoveries, the challenges of new technology, and the machinations of the business world. They will be an excellent editor, full of ideas about how expert knowledge can help people understand the world around them, and able to promptly translate complicated ideas into accessible language for a general audience.
