The Conversation is looking for an experienced editor to oversee its arts and culture desk. This is a great opportunity to shape the coverage of a fast-paced online news magazine and work with a team of fantastic journalists and some of the world's leading academic experts. Every day, The Conversation publishes articles written by experts from universities across the UK and Europe that explain and analyse the latest news, trends, and research. Our stories are written for a general readership, and we aim to bridge the gap between academics and the public via a newsroom of talented journalists, reaching millions of readers around the world each month. In the arts, we cover everything from the new discoveries of art historians to the latest reality TV series. We are looking for someone with a strong interest in arts journalism who is full of ideas about how The Conversation's coverage could be developed to create an unmissable package of arts content. They will be an excellent editor, able to promptly translate complicated ideas into accessible language for a general audience.
