The Denver Post is looking for an aggressive reporter to cover our top sports beat, the Denver Broncos, in a market that is passionate about football. The ideal candidate should have experience covering pro sports, preferably the NFL, and be equipped to handle all duties for digital and print on a beat where the news never stops. This is an extremely competitive beat and the candidate has to be able to handle the pressure of being on top of breaking news and be able to break away and excel at long form stories that take readers inside the team. The candidate needs to be a great teammate, working in conjunction with a beat partner and colleagues to push our coverage to the top against national competition.
