Crypto Reporter

New Posted 5 January 2024 | San Francisco, California, United States, New York, New York, United States | The Information

The Information was founded in late 2013 with a simple idea: write deeply reported articles about the technology industry that you won't find elsewhere. Since then, we've become a disruptor in business news that’s moved markets, gotten the early scoop on billions of dollars of acquisitions, and told you what's happening inside companies like Apple, Meta and Google. As a subscription-only publication, we aim high and take on challenging stories and adhere to the highest of journalistic standards. What we put into the work is just as in-depth as our output. We've attracted hundreds of thousands of active readers who look to us for breaking news stories and impactful features. As we look to expand our coverage in alignment with the needs of our subscribers, we continue to invest aggressively in our team.

Crypto is at a crossroads following last year’s market meltdown and wave of high-profile bankruptcies, making this an exciting time to write the stories that matter about what’s next for the industry. We’re looking for a reporter to get inside top exchanges like Coinbase and Binance as well as startups like OpenSea and Chainalysis that saw their valuations skyrocket during the crypto boom.

The ideal candidate will be able to break news that reveals how companies are responding to market conditions and regulatory challenges and get ahead of the next wave of crypto innovation. This reporter will also have the opportunity to write smart features and profiles that go deep on the most influential companies and personalities in crypto. We’re a highly collaborative newsroom, offering our crypto reporter the ability to team up with our venture capital and finance teams and connect the dots on high-impact stories.
