Reporter

The Morning Journal, a subsidiary of MediaNews Group, is seeking a Reporter to join the team! You’ll work remotely in Lorain County, Ohio with a fantastic team of dedicated journalists committed to quality, community journalism. Come be a part of our success story!

What you will do:
- Write breaking news, crime news, local government news, community event reports and feature stories. This reporter will focus on the local news beat and putting readers first.
- Contributes to spot photography by taking pictures to accompany stories and reports.
- Conduct research and develop stories to the utmost accuracy, preserving credibility and trust of The Morning Journal.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm for breaking news, community news and have a curious nature to find captivating stories of interest to local readers.
- Use social media to engage audience and drive readership digitally and in print.
- Collaborate with editors and reporters on long-term reports and features.
- Other duties as assigned in order to support the newsroom in breaking news by daily deadline.
