The Times is looking for an experienced, innovative and entrepreneurial leader to run its books desk and storied 125-year-old journal of literary discussion and debate, The New York Times Book Review. The new editor’s mission will be to uphold and bolster the excellence and influence of the Review, digitally and in print, while also expanding the scope of daily Times books coverage to reach, delight and inform a growing audience of readers on every platform. Questions to consider: How should we envision that mission as a modern newsgathering organization that sees most of our readers coming to us digitally? How do we engage those readers in ways that not only helps them find and understand the books that they read and the information those books contain, but brings them back again for more?
