In this role, you will oversee a large team of reporters and editors who bring energy and insight to the defining political stories unfolding around the country. You will shepherd everything from investigative stories and live breaking news to visually driven projects, issue stories and profiles. The Politics editor at The Times oversees coverage of the presidential election and the congressional midterm elections. The Politics editor also leads major storylines of great interest to readers, including debate coverage, the role of money in politics and the shifting identity and constituencies of the two major political parties.
