Editorial Assistant

We’re reimagining Sunday Review, the home of Times Opinion’s most ambitious journalism, and to support that effort, we are looking for an editorial assistant who can help with all the details required to bring this section to life under the guidance of its editor. In addition, you will fact check guest essays and/or support a columnist. This job, which is based in NYC, is a great position for someone who is highly organized, both print and digitally savvy and has broad-ranging news interests. You must have a sharp eye for detail; a track record of good display writing; superb research skills; a devotion to the highest standards of accuracy, precision and verification; ability to dive into unfamiliar material on deadline; discretion in handling sensitive editorial material; familiarity with various social media platforms; and a strong interest in opinion journalism. Collegiality and diplomacy are essential.
