Do you have a dedication to getting the facts absolutely right, finding the most credible and credentialed sources, and maintaining the full trust of readers? Do thorny questions about the transparency of journalistic practices or the role of social media in journalism excite you? Wirecutter is seeking a research and standards editor to lead its research department and help refine and uphold a rigorous set of journalistic standards for its 100-person newsroom. As research and standards editor, you will ensure an airtight fact-checking process, maintain Wirecutter’s editorial integrity, work closely with the deputy editor to adjudicate and uphold our ethical standards, act as the final authority on matters of Wirecutter’s research procedures, and manage a small research team. This role has the potential to be remote.
