The NYT seeks Senior Editor, Newsroom Product for NYC Office to work with product and the newsroom to develop a strategy for testing to enable data-informed editorial decisions. Req’d: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Journalism or a related field plus 2 years of experience working in a news media organization OR Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Journalism or a related field plus 5 years of experience working in a news media organization Must have at least two years in a leadership role in both newsroom editorial and digital media product management; At least two years’ experience reporting, writing and editing news copy; At least two years’ experience in product management or strategy in a digital news media context; At least one year experience in developing newsroom analytics and data tools; Experience in working with cross-functional teams from product, design, software and editorial backgrounds; Understanding of mobile and digital trends.
