Our beautiful and beloved print section for Kids (runs in the paper on the last Sunday of every month), is looking for an editor to help execute our digital editorial strategy on Instagram. This is a new role embedded in NYT for Kids editorial team, working closely with product and research to learn and grow while developing something completely new. The job requires both creativity and a data-driven, entrepreneurial approach: You will collaborate with NYT for Kids editors and designers to experiment with new digital formats and engagement methods. The right candidate will have the ability to think strategically about using our archives of 3 years of print content, and generating new ideas to grow and engage our audience. Strong, confident writing skills with a sense of humor is required, as is a strong visual sensibility. Enthusiasm for playful experimentation, trying new ideas, bouncing back and tweaking on the go is a must. Fluency across all areas is not required, but applicants should demonstrate excellence in one or more categories and comfort experimenting in all.
